never been worse..

sadly mid-term break flew past. and the new term's not any better. first day of sch was horrible enough. screwed up 2 subjects. which means i have to work doubly hard to save my own ass. horrible. so so dead. everything seems so draining. dunno why. what was suppose to be good turned out to be really really bad and what was supposed to be bad turned out..well.. not too bad. like my 105 which seems better now. im tired. so many deadlines i'll be dead by the end. ramble ramble ramble.. need something to look forward to! or rather some motivation to go to school!

therapy today went pretty ok i must say.. didnt buy much but i found my little black dress! and it's not tt ex.. so gonna go back to get tmr! yay! makes me happy! as usual the changing room part's fun! haha.. tried on lots of stuff and take pictures.. just tt this time was only a few pics cuz we were starving. im surprised tt i got full on 2 plates of sushi!

has another round of car wash. it was HOT! sun was perfect for a tann.. not a car wash.. felt so icky and bleah.. and it was super tiring. dunno why im so super drained now la.. and i realized that so so so so many singaporean men are hand-pecked. when we approached the couple/family to ask them to get their car wash, the guy/husband will always dun mind, but he has to ask his wife for permission first. like ALL the time. so far today out of the 12 cars i approached, only 1 girlfriend/wife was kind enough to allow her bf/husband to let his car be washed! 1 out of 12! it's nuts! what's wrong with all these women?! and worse are the men! aren't you guys supposed to be the head, the decision maker, having the final say? why do u guys have to look at your gf/wife like a little boy looking to his mum when he's asking for something?! im appalled! what has gone wrong with our society?! anyway.. yea.. was pretty funny with ben(rongjun) and jerry(guangzhen).. as usual.. angel and i entertained ourslves.. haha.. who cares.. we had fun, while it lasted

so it was off to the airport cuz we couldnt take the heat and our legs were about to break.. met jas dor dinner then sent her off. jas..i'll miss u! yet another leaving for aust.. it's sad..

rainy lonely thursday night..

it's raining.. and it's a thursday and my last day of sch before mid term break and im at HOME alonE! help!

i've pratically ran out of ideas to entertain me. so im whining here again. my main source of entertainment(my TV) has no sound! ABSOLUTELY NO SOUND. ZERO! ZILCH! thanks to my fuddy daddy who insist he use his special speakers and amp. i dunno how on earth he fixes those thing now there's no sound. and me getting bored of watching soundless tv tried fixing it. i cleverly took the cables and tired poking them into the sound holes at the back and it worked a bit.. then there was a spark! yes a spark and a mini explosion! i freaked out and screamed cuz i thought i was gonna be electrocuted. yes.. so much for trying to get the sound to work. moving on...

now im trying to feed my blog with pointless rambling.. poor thing's gonna suffer from indigestion. but oh well. had 2 spoons of tiriamisu hagen daaz ice cream. and i thought of having ice kachang from adam rd so my dad's gonna buy back some for me! he loves it too tt's why he'll buy some back! haha..

im trying to change mt template for my blog. but i dun really know how.. as in i cant find a nice skin.. help! any one knows?

man..i think im doing my random thought thing again.. so there's no flow whatsoever.

yay! whoohoo..my mid term break has officially started. means no more waking up early for a WEEK! finally. and i think i kinda need to start studying. know nothing since sch started la. go to sch for like french and to meet friends. haha..

there's so many awesome concerts coming up! Oasis and Frans Ferdinand! i so so so so so so wanna go.. but im broke again.. as usual. and my dad's not sponsoring me. he said "i rather buy u the dvd to watch it's cheaper!" RAHHHH! so sad..

bahh.. i lost my one side of my earring again!
pissed.. dunno how i always lose this stuff. now i have no earrings left cuz all of them are one sided or lost somewhere in orchard rd. not in a good mood right now. have to write some silly sports article for Vandana.. eeeee... dun like her classes..painfully boring. especially for me who cant sit still for half an hour! think i just wanna ramble on la.

had crystal jade's for dinner..yum yum! i love it. sadly they didnt have my bo-lo bun thing..it's yummilicious! they stop serving dim sum at 5.. hiaz...but i bought some back at the bakery for breakfast! then spent the rest of the night dragging nat around to look for valentine's day prezzie for Angel and all. bought a really nice kids cardboard book for her. i hope she likes it. V'dae has officially sucked my wallet dry. very very broke now. and i still havent gotten my pay check since dec! when i did styling for the Seventeen spread and cover. incompitent!

and i saw a pretty gold straw esparidale at Pedder Red! prettiest wedge ive seen in quite long! completely got my haert broken cuz it was $180! now i have to stinge cuz i really want it! ok.. but if i canget a nicer pair of cheaper wedges i dun mind either!

pre-valentine's day

just about a year ago i got accepted as an intern for Seventeen. man.. i cant believe i've worked that long there! anyhow, i had to do like some sort of an assignment or test for jennifer and one of them was to write an editorial piece on valentine's day. i never had the chance to post this till now and i found in in my com so here it is. sounds bit cheesy.. my writing style was rather different back then.. but i like it! hehe.. enjoy! feel free to comment too! hmm..maybe i should write one this year too.. hmm..

Candle-light dinners, lush chocolates, red roses and romantic love songs, all of which make up the essence of the celebration of love, Valentine’s Day. Celebrated in over more than 100 countries across the globe, February 14 is the next most celebrated day of the year, other than Christmas.

Other than the norm of seeing couples struck with cupid’s arrows, floating around on cloud nine down Orchard Road, young singles also paint the town red this evening with their own bunch of friends. Today, Valentine’s Day is not just celebrated by couples, but by almost every individual, and has become increasingly popular amongst teenagers. In school, dedication booths are set up for students to dedicate songs to their crush, best friends and even teachers. Back in my junior college, February 14 was specially celebrated with the different CCA groups and the student council selling flowers, gifts, chocolates and even balloons to the students. It was a really exciting day as students go around giving out small gifts and sweets to one another in expression of their friendship and love.

And of course there is the traditional evening out, where couples flood every possible restaurant in town, and every girl walking down the street seem to have a bouquet of flowers in her hand. Besides those who are crazily in love with one another, there are also many who are on their first date with their special guy/girl. Coyly, they roam the streets, with shy smiles and awkward pauses. But amidst the small talk and nerves, sparks fly.

It is amazing how love can have such an impact on us. Only on this day that guys are willing to fork out so much for a stalk or rose and a set dinner at a fancy restaurant. As Valentine’s Day gets increasingly commercialized and economically unreasonable, it also accentuates the power of love through the sacrifices made, and prices paid.

However if two people are so in love with one another, wouldn’t everyday be Valentine’s Day for them? We certainly do not need a reason or a special day just to show how much we cherish that special someone. When you are in love, every moment spent together will be special and precious, and you will do all you can just to put a smile on his/her face. Hence the saying, “people do crazy things for love”.

Nevertheless, it is on this day that the magnitude of the power of love is so evidently put across. There is certainly no specific definition for love, but one cannot deny the fact that love is not just a mere feeling, but a commitment. You do not need any special occasion or reason to express your love, neither do you have to splurge on expensive gifts to tell that special someone that u love him/her. In fact, it’s in the small nitty-gritty details like remembering his favourite drink or allowing her to board the bus first, that matters. It is through these that your love is shown. Hence I conclude with part of my favourite quote, “Love is patient, love is kind…it is not self seeking… It always trusts, always hopes always perseveres.” You certainly do not need a reason to love, because love encompasses all.

can't figure why...

why is it that when things seem like they're at the pits of pits and they still seem to get worse by the minute?

why do people rather believe what they see than what they will know first hand if they would get to know the person?

why is it that when for once you try so hard to be good but u end up screwing it all up BIG time?

why is it that when ure feeling horrible and walking alone, the night sky happens to be the most beautiful one u've seen in weeks?

why do people say they give u a chance and dont judge but inside they do?

why is it that sometimes when u dun feel like crying even though ure sad, but when u start talking and sharing it with someone the tears just cant falling?

man.. so many "why"s and it's starting to get sad.. depressing aint it. but i always cant figure these questions out. weird.

juggling it all

yes.. finally a break from school. was starting to get sick of school.. i missed my work.. which is why i went down to the office to give jennifer a hand and help her source for the april's fashion spread. met her new intern, andrea who was really funny! end up going sourcing with her cuz poor girl had no one to teach her the stuff.. like me..have jennifer some trouble when i came back with so little stuff the first time. reminded me of when i first started. had fun sourcing with her... it's always fun to have someone to shop around with. we picked up so many accessories from Accessorize like as if we were getting them for ourselves la! and i saw some stuff i want! like my pretty turquoise charm anklet! and i bought a red clutch!

never knew happiness could be bought in just 20cents till today..

it's amazing how the littlest things can make someone really happy.. it's great.. shall not elaborate on that..

today was crazy.. had french make up which was Tres Bien!(Great) but i had no breaks from like 1130 all the way to 330! and had to run from like one end of sch to another cuz there's like no walking time given.. hectic! i was runing to the lab to comeplete some extra credit survey thing for 105, and i got hijacked by some Cleo people. didnt really know what was it about. probably similar stuff to what i did for Female and Seventeen. I wasnt really in the mood to do it cuz i was freakin late, but they just dun get the fact that I'm late. so i just gave in cuz if i stood there and pleaded them more it'll be even later! I think it's some Campus Face-off dunno what thing.. like had to take a photo and basically bout my fashion or whatever.. nothing big to me till like in the evening when i remembered that one of the interns told me i might be on Cleo. they're crazy.. cuz i told them i work for Seventeen and they didnt care. madness. so ya.. there's a possibility that i'll appear on Cleo too. man.. seem like some collection or some sort to see how many mags i can appear on.. haha.. it's stupid.. but was fun doing this sorta thing.. just pray to God that my photo doesnt look horrendous!

After that i had some problems with some freakin group member of mine. totallly ruined my mood for town. I HATE IT! but then the 20cents worth of happiness came in and totally made my day! hehe.. meeting lenise and jasreel with angel was fun! it was true what mrs quek said bout sc girls. that you'll remain friends for a really long time. and sc girls make the BEST girlfriends ever! beats any other school hands down any other time! Jas, Len, if your'e reading this, I LOVE U GIRLS! hehe..and Angel.. hehe.. i tell u that everyday.. haha.. schoolk would be like DEAD without you la. all our nonsense! haha.. and i cant believe we all took like almost an hour in the TopShop changing room la.. goodness.. i bet the guy thought we were all mad or something! im happy i bought my charm necklace! which was on 50%! cool!

impulse buys are always worth it

now that it's after cny, i still cant belive the stupid sale is going on.. for stock clearing mostly.. i want the new stuff to come in! and also.. all the nice stuff that i wanted to buy is gone..like my bambi necklace, and the gold charm one from topshop.. when u see something you like, you always procrastinate and think twice about getting in.. then when u come back a second time to get it, you've missed it and it's no longer there anymore. and ive realized that this not only applies to material stuff.. for example when opportunity strikes, sometimes it's too good to be true so we hessitate and ponder bout it.. but truth is that there's no time for pondering. like if someone really sweet and fantastic comes along, why do people hessitate in making a decision? i never seem to get why these decisions are so difficult to make..man.. deriveed all these stuff from shopping.. awesome..dont let that someone/something slip you by..

breakfast at HV again...

this time it's with sharon.. as usual we walked so many rounds and cannot decide what to eat.. bahh.. ended up having lunch at sushi tei.. love sashimi!

late saturday night dinner..
church was lat night was fun! ok.. maybe it's cuz i helped out in Discovery Land.. the kid's ministry. was super super fun! just sit there and play with the kids, who are absolutely so cute! especially this 5 year old boy , Jaken. apparently he's some pastor's son.. he's like hyper-active! probably ADS(attention deficiency syndrome) like moi! hehe.. i made him sit down in front of me and he happily jumped on my already-cramping lap.. like so many times. and he tried sticking his car sticker all over me, i almost screamed when he tried sticking it in my mouth! and he thought it was funny so he tried again! goodness! what a naughty little brat! happily climbed all over me.. but he was fun! haha..ALL kids should be this fun! and he listened when i bribed him with my HOST tag, cuz he wanted to wear it.. so he obediently sat down! i love kids! then they ran around and played their pretend-to-be super hero games where they throw things at you and pretend to shoot you! haha.. they were all running after me cuz i took their ball and ran away! haha..awesome! see.. simply so many reasons why it's way way WAY much better to remain a kid. simple things make you happy, you can scream, laugh a and cry all you want, and you dont have a single thing to worry! how nice is that?!

supper later at some teochew porridge next to Al Amin was yummylicious! havent had porridge in ages! was really cheap and good.. then the guys wanted drinks at Al Amin.. goodness.. they're never full! filmed 2 crazy videos by Ah-pek Clemie and Melvin.. crazy shit.. im just sad i cant get the sound to work when it plays on Quicktime on my com! HELP! anyone knows how to make it work? I can only open it using Quicktime.. sad..

breakfast day ay HV..

met angel at HV at 1030! way early for a friday.. and i bought a new Happy Coat from Lim's Art! was sorta like a chinois robe sorta thing! i love it.. cheered me up a little cuz i wasnt feeling too good the past few days.. i wanna be happy!

We had lunch at Crystal Jade, ate soo much..like 3 plates of dim sum! and we wanted the yu sheng but the waitress said it was way too big for us to finish! haha..Angel was craving Ben & Jerry's so we bought a tub then she came over to bum around and watch oc..WE FINISHED A WHOLE ENTIRE TUB OF NEW YORK SUPER FUGDE CHUNK AT ! GO! im still shock by that! normally it'll take me like a week! goodness.. im gonna diee.. then it was off to tuition and cell then late night supper at ChomChom's. My poor tuition kid failed her maths test.. i hope i dun get fired la.. cuz like she said only 7 out of 41 pple passed. hmm.. yes.. i need the pay!! hehe.. i've concluded the stingray at Chomchom's is not as good as the one at newton or adam hawker! i like mine with lotsa lotsa chilli! yummyliciouS!

you're leaving on a jet plane.. don't know when you'll be back again..

Chris left for melbourne this morning.. way way early.. im suprised that i could wake up to go send him off.. and i cant believe that i had a mushroom swiss for breakfast.. was so so so full i couldnt move! glad it lasted me the whole day.. was still full at dinner!

I love going to the airport.. never really knew why.. but it's always something different each time u go there. strange feeling.. this time was bit sad.. cuz my he's leaving.. i dunno why.. it's always like this with me when someone i know leaves.. like u've gotten used to having them around with thier jokes and crazy antics and suddenly their just not there anymore? yea.. ok.. i know this sounds a bit like overly sad and all but it's not like someone died la.. hmm.. how do i put it.. probably it'll be like you'll never know the true value or someone/something until they're gone sorta? haha.. yea..something along that line..

the oakley shop was a fun stop! hehe.. got chris to try on a beanie. he looks like a theif.. or a mug.. know those that rob banks and stuff? like in fun with dick and jane! hehe.. looks goofy-ly- cute too in a way! haha.. so he left after that.. and that was it.. sorta.. was bit like solemn? sad? after.. but it's just me... im like tt when pple i know arent around anymore.. cuz things will change..but oh well.. just made me cherish the things i have more? haha.. oh yes..just remembered.. i'll miss ur crazy singing sessions with melvin in the car! especially with you guys trying to sing chinese and you trying to sing in your sexy rocker voice! haha.. was hilarious!
