the kids were so so adorable! and God knows where their energy comes from! all we've seen is of them running all over and jumping from one place to another!

other weird happenings were this big bunch of japanese guys who acted as if they've never seen water, sand and the sun before. they kept cheering and running into the water.. then running out of it again.. like as if they were in some jap soap opera/drama or some sort of mtv! it was hilarious! and they were so facinated with everything. yes.. no exaggeration here, EVERYTHING! even the trees..ok..so maybe they've never seen a coconut tree before.. but u dun like keep climing up a rock just to pose and repeating it like 10 times! haha,, it was so funny! and they were like little white chickens.. cuz even with my shades on they looked fair! and tt's bad.. cuz shades make everything look nice and tann.. so yea.. gave us a good laugh!

oh wait.. and not to forget the sumo guy who's got like hairy chest and back. i totally freaked! it was like a human gorilla some sort.. sumo part's ok.. hairy part's just FREAKY!!! hehe..

just gotta love'em all!

i lost my lego ring, broke my necklace and got jumped on, but i just can't be angry. served in discovery land again.. the kids are so so adorable.. and the amazing thing is that they actually remember you.. and they'll come find you when you're there! sat night was great, even though i was so drained from work at b&j, it's like a whole new wave of energy just floods when you're with them. and my darling jaken was there! simply adorable!

this is the cutie who came and sat beside me cuz he wanted to eat my chicken wing.. and play with my lego ring.. how can i get angry when he rubbed my head and said sorry?!

The Suprise

In a group of friends, there's always that one person who will be the 'friend' guy. well, you see, the 'friend guy' has its pros and cons..
one of the pros being that he's probably one of the most popular guys around.. being extremely sociable and having the special ability to blend in with different types of pple.. you'll feel comfortable around him, want to hang out and chill with him and also probably turn to him when you have some problems.
however, the 'friend guy' will probably be the one who initiates meetings, birthday suprises, gatherings. probably the more initiative one of the lot. sadly, it's rare that he be invited or thrown a suprise, so this time around, we decided to turn things around and throw our darling 'friend guy', Ben, a suprise.

The Plot: Holland Village, Coffee Club
The Plan: Satthish has some 'girl issues' and need help desperately, hence Ben will be tricked into meeting and coming out.
The Suprise: Everyone will be waiting at Coffee Club with a cake and candles ready to sing the birthday song!
The Result: Sucess with an A+!

the no manager day

everything breaks lose! awesome! seems even more fun working without linglin or francis.. like no pressure at all! haha..hence me made pretty crazy stuff.. forgot all about wearing the caps, and took photos with random cute kids! plus..the morning and early afternoon got really boring so we made everything we could possible think of.. like chocolate coated fruits, mix the ice cream flavours, and even chocolate waffle cones..

spontaneity's always been my best friend..so how i can i pass up the chance to try something new?! ok.. so im slow.. but better late than never!

i met pam for shopping.. and coincidentally we were both dressed pretty retro.. so we thought, why not go for mambo since i havent been there before.. so after some big dliemma and procrastination we made a really last min decision after work and ...poof!

it was freakin packed.. took us like an hour to find nickie inside..but was fun.. in a silly way.. cuz we were all so clueless about all the moves and there were so many pros! fun fun!

returning the loaned items were a nightmare.. as it always is.. then we had to rush down to parkway parade for shop talk shoot... and to visit kel since we were featuring his shop! the taxi uncle kinda thought we were crazy or 2 country pumpkins cuz both licheng and i have never been to parkway before.. im no east side girl!! but that place was pretty happening! much more happening than i expected it to be.. like there was topshop, and all those stuff too.. and the lovely cake shop Choz. looked yummylicious! have to go back there to try the cakes..

kel's shop, Rusty's was pretty cool.. nice surf/street clothes.. they should move to town! but was fun.. and i think we kinda disrupted business for them quite a bit.. hehe..

then it was rushing off to town again for some other shoot and i had to source for clothes for the Aug cover.. which im kinda dead.. help! stress..

it was really non-stop..like working at ben&jerry's right after that.. i almost died.. i know it sounds weird but all the rush seemed pretty fun too.. haha.. just silly me..and we made several cool stuff at ben&jerry's! pam made her new concoction of milkshake.. called pinkchocolate! was really delicious! made with strawberry and chocolate fudge brownie icecream! it sounds weird but tastes absolutely fantabulicious! you've got to try it!

Attn: There's way more to what you see/read.

Dear readers,

The next time you pick up a magazine, be it to pass time at the hair salon, random browsing at borders, or even just to laze around with an afternoon tea, think about what you see in the colourful pages of the mag. Sure everyone enjoys admiring the beautiful pictures of gorgeous models, and even cute items featured in the mag, but has anyone ever thought about how it gets there? Or how it looks that way for that matter?

Every single picture, be it a full page shot, or a small candid shot requires excrutiating hard work that has been taken for ganted. from the planning of what to feature, to going out and sourcing for the item, and then lugging it all back to the studio to shoot, plus styling it and later editing it and doing the layout. Just think about how many hands the picture goes through, how many hours spent on just one issue of mag. There's certainly more than what you see. the bag handle doesnt just stand up in the air like how it shows on the pages, the model doesnt just appear looking all glam and gorgeous in a photo. there's styling, hair and make up, plus an essentialy good photographer, poses, props etc.. There's just too many to name. not to mention the coordination and styling of the different looks and outfits. It looks really simple and easy, but it's the complete opposite.

So the next time before you throw that mag aside, just think about the behind-the-scenes work and effort that the people put in. it's really sad to see how mags get thrown about and how little credit stylist, photographers, hair&make up artists and art directors get. be kind, have a heart, spare a thought. but i still doubt you'll understand the real deal til you've experienced it. It's a great and awesome, once-in-a-lifetime chance to produce a mag, you should try. Learn a great deal, learn about appreciation.

but somehow it seems that falling into this hole doesn't seem that bad after all..

i intended to write bout this last night.. but it's been so hectic this week running all over town trying to borrow stuff for tomorrow's shoot. and today was just pure madness. first time i got so so much stuff till i kinda couldnt move.. so did licheng.. we almost died.. and if not for belly we would have to make like several trips from inside wisma to the taxi stand.. even the pple at top shop were shocked when we dumped our stuff there..we kinda took up all their space behind the counter! hehe...but it was fun. .crazy but exhausting..

i wish i could like record all the dirty looks and weird gasps we got when we were trying to lug everything down orchard road..everyone was like "waa.. shop so much".. like real we shopped! like how can anyone in the world buy so much stuff at one go?! and all those rich tai tais were casting us all sorts of looks as if saying how come we get more stuff then they can dig and extort out of their rich husbands! it's just hilarious! singaporeans can be so clueless about things..

ok.. back to the hole.. yep yep.. it just dawned upon me that at this stage of life where i am.. falling into this hole might just turn out well.. ok.. and not as bad as i thought after all. like what xin said.. it's just cuz i think so much.. so maybe i just stop thinking..things might just be fine.. besides.. the hole's keeping me happy.. plus. falling asleep with a smile on your face at night sounds like a pretty good idea to me.. or so at least for now..

my hands are really numb from all the carrying.. there were so so so many bags.. like we filled the whole trunk of the taxi plus the back seat. everyone thought we were on a crazy shopping spree.. but if only half of it were ours! i cant even think about returning the items.

ok.. hole hole.. man i keep digressing.. yea.. so you see this hole aint that bad.. cuz im happy.. and there's something that keeps me intrigue. somthing catching my attention.. honestly.. it's really not easy to hold my attention.. i have serious attention deficiency problem. i slip into my own world and drift away sooner that u can imagine. and it happens all the time. no exaggeration here. if u havent noticed.. maybe im just a good actress? wel wel.. but yea.. lots of weird stuff goes through my mind all the time. so well.. yep.. simply put, this hole's sorta keeping me well.. occupied and thinking.. and lots of stuff to learn from as well.. but i know.. holes get filled up when the rain comes and i'll start to drown in my own sorrows one day.. unless.. yes.. there is an unless. some awesome dude some save me.. which is well.. pretty much never gonna happen..

so back off now and let me dream and be facinated in my little hole.. well at least for the time being..

i think i dug myself another hole..

and im trying not to fall in.. i dunno why i keep doing it..it used to be like 3 holes.. then 2 was kinda solved..and now there's one more! why?! i didnt look for it.. it just came.. and it's so much easier to fall in when you know it's not gonna go right... like it would have to take a miracle or some sort..i used to be happy. and not bugged my anything.. literally anything for that matter.. but now i just cant get it off my mind sometimes.. it's not a bad thing.. it's not that a good thing either.. sometimes it makes me fall asleep with a smile on my face.. yet sometimes it's just too crazy to even think about it.

i wanna stop all the thinking.. but i cant help it.. i wanna be happy, wanna fall asleep everyday with a big smile, but sadly it's only temporal.. cuz dreams dont last.. people wake up.. i cant help if im a dreamer. but is it good being a dreamer?

Food for thought:
was talking to j last night.. and i really learnt quite some stuff.. been wanting to write this..so here goes.
what actually defines a sane normal human being? how would you know that you're not crazy like how some mentally unstable people are considered mad? how would we know for a fact that we arent? just because that the majority of us behave a certain way and do not let lose as easily as they do dont make us any more sane than them. perhaps in their world we are actually the crazy one?! like these people are able to laugh, cry, be angry and sad when they feel that way. and they do not place any restrictions of boundaries for themselves to control how they feel, their emotions and how they behave. hence, they are considered crazy just cuz the norm, like us, have so much boundaries as to how not to show our emotions and to void ourselves of the intensity of feelings that we are wanting to let lose all the time. it has become so common that at the slightest display of emotions, we are so afraid that we are gonna be seen a certain way. so what exactly is a sane person? does the norm determines the truth?

i think it'll be cool to enter their world someday and actually understand how they think and feel... and why they react or behave a certain way.but i doubt that's gonna be possible...it's always really intriguing how some autistic children can get so lost and caught up in their own world. what is it that they see that we don't? what's so wrong about being lost in your own world anyway?! it's really facinating to see what thoughts start to generate when you just let your mind wonder..

finally some 'me' time

i loved it..
it's another rare occassion that i could sleep and wake up without the alarm ringing.. i think if i didnt have my hair appointment i would sleep the day away! i almost forgot how nice it felt to sleep early and wake up late.. spent half the day pampering myself! did my hair and some shopping.. i havent done my hair in ages.. and my hair stylist is such a dear! i love her..gave me a 20% discount! :) after which i went to work at b&j again..which was not too bad..today was a happy day.. everyday should be like this! plus daddy came to pick me up and brought me for late night supper at geylang! frog porridge was yummylicious!

im lookin forward to the kid's central event tmr! i hope it'll be fun..

disappointed..but just a bit..

aint tt pleased with my results..dunno what went wrong.. thought it could have been better.. but least it wasnt worse.. i need to push myself harder.. that's what daddy says too.. cuz no one's gonna push u.. only u can push urself.. oh well. im still thankful for what i got..

today was a reallytiring day of walking and sourcing for my shoot tmr.. i really really dislike the sale.. it just makes everything so messy and inconvenient! and it's not like it helps or anything.. why would anyone wanna buy something that 20 others are gonna have too? and people get tricked and manipulated into spending on things that they do not need, and worse still.. dun even like.. just cuz it seems cheap.. or rather.. cheaper than normal, that doesnt make it a good buy.. it's all part of the marketing gimmick to get you to buy and spend money on uncessary things.. and thousands of yound victims get conned year after year..ok.. perhaps i just dun like crowds and sales..

licheng and i combed the entire orchard road today... plus Granny's Day Out at peninsular.. really cool vintage shop with gorgeous dressed and funky accessories.. and thanks to lin we visited the Fornarina office and checked out the new stuff that just came in. I love the fall/winter collection.. esp the nautica theme one.. Im in love with the stripe jacket with huge red buttons! i hope they price the items soon.. i wanna buy some cool stuff i saw.. it was really fun.. like trying on the new collection.. we loaned quite a few for the shoot..so tempted to buy.. cant wait till the shop opens in end july!

feeding your senses..

the busy streets, bustling crowd and heavy traffic. everything was like a blur.. it seemed almost impossible to be oblivious to all the activities surrounding me. but today was really different. everything somehow just fades away..

i got off work earlier.. met jessman and decided to hang around for the afternoon.. since neither of us had anything on and the dinner thing at shaun's was cancelled..so we took a walk. not the normal shopping kinda walk.. it was different this time.. maybe it was the company.. maybe it was just something special about sundays.. but it was just different.. i saw things i never would have noticed.. thought about things that would not normally cross my mind.. it was the same road that led to suntec and then esplanade.. nothing special about it.. but my mind managed to drift off somehwere during the journey.. for a moment at certain times, i didnt quite feel i was there walking.. it's like you just get lost in your own world of thoughts..

i loved the wind.. just having it play with your hair, and that cool refreshing feeling when it blows pass your face..it just takes you away.. it's like you mind's lifted up with it and just floats away and you actually feel light and carefree.. i know all these sounds like i was walking alone.. but no.. i was with jessman.. and it was a really nice walk.. just learning so much stuff about things and about pple..it's always intersting getting to know someone.. it's just like starting out with a fresh sheet of canvas..there was just a certain serenity about today.. it was fun.. at least on my part i had fun.. haha..

we had sushi and sashimi for tea.i tried swordfish sashimi for thr first time today.. and it was good.. nice and sweet. i liked it.. then we saw this old australian couple doing a painting on the ground at the bay of esplanade.. cool stuff.. there was this band called the cat empire that was gonna play too.. so we stayed to watch.. it was pretty cool.. really talented pple.. the guy with the trumpet's cool and i like the dj! haha..it's a first that i see almost all the of the crowd stand up to clap and dance.. great performance..but poor jessman got tired..

today made me wanna make things i dream about happen.. like how i always wanted to go overseas with someone and just take pictures and explore the place like a local.. and to start something of my own.. lke my concept store thing.. and to get a house and live with some good friends.. tt'll be great..ok.. maybe the holiday thing will work.. i really wanna go away soon.. take some time out..

crazy photo day..

all of us went crazy and took extra lots of photos last night.. mainly cuz there was a kodak event with a free photo printing booth below b&j yesterday. haha.. and it was some cuban night thing.. so we all had to wear bandanas instead of our caps. felt like a milkmaid actually.. i still dun get how bandana fits the whole cuban theme. but we had fun.. despite feeling a bit sick...

and half way through i started losing my voice! like just out of the blue! was pretty freaky.. so i just kept drinking so much water.. till i had bladder problems.. i hope this whole flu thing goes away!

all of us had our little suprises again! nickie came down! and so did zhuomin, joshua, daryl and ming rui.. i miss u guys! and yep.. shaun and jessman came down again! haha.. u guys are like my most regular customers now.. len was extra happy cuz her bf suprised her by coming down when we were closing! was really sweet.. i think it's things like these that makes people wanna get together or something.. like it's nice to have someone u like come suprise you at work..like no matter how tired u are i believe u'll just regain all your energy back.. just like how len was jumping around after jon called even though she was so so tired.. sweet..

we got bored halfway.. i dunno why.. it was friday.. and the crowd wasnt that good.. usually it would be like packed and it'll be like a mad house.. but last night seemed pretty quiet.. partly there was no hype cuz the music kinda sucked too.. we need HAPPENING LIVE MUSIC! like songs u can sing to, go crazy to and dance to! im just lookin forward to shaun and jessman's band tt's gonna be playing next saturday! pls pls pls pls pls do us a HUGE favour and ROCK the PLACE! heh..

im sick.. but happy..

i dunno why.. but yea.. im happy.. the littlest things make me happy! like getting my stuff done well..and seeing pple happy..despite being stuck in the rain and getting my shoes wet.. and having to carry all my stuff for the shoot.. im happy! haha.. maybe im just easy to please.. or i just get happy easily.. and im happy when pple around me are happy.. ok.. enough of happiness.. haha.. not on a sugar high.. neither is it the panadol talking.. im sure..

i hope i get better though.. kinda sucks finding it so difficult to breathe! rah.. and im working till like late late tmr! help! haha.. god give me strength and heal me!

im glad the senior's camp thing is over.. got so freakin burnt la.. and my back's all red.. and i think tt's why my fever's back.. i cant afford to fall sick..

i actually sat down at dinner and thought what if i really fell very sick and couldnt do all the work i need to do.. noNONO.. i cant.. there's just too much to be done.. things will fall apart i think.. hiaz..

i think i'll actually fall asleep with a smile on my face today.. :)
