im down with fever and flu and it sucks big time!

rahh. so irritated.. i should be at camp.. but im home.. cuz of the freakin fever.. and it's making me dizzy.. or tt's the panadol.. but ya.. felt really horrible this morning.. was trying not to die.. i think pple in sch have never seen me so dead before..i was trying not to sneeze my nose out!

senior's camp was.. um..alright? some of the games were really gross.. like the captain's ball with chicken game.. sick sick sick.. ut ive played it before.. so ya.. i know how it feels.. and the time i played it in sa the guts actualy fell out.. gross..
it's really weird today.. like all of a sudden i realize how chinese pple in ntu are.. ive never thought it would be tt bad till like we realized all the instructions given and how to play the games were like in chinese.. angel, d, mel, and i were like "what?!" not tt ive anything against it.. just tt it's really much harder for me to understand it.. and it's scary..tt everyone speaks it like it's a natural thing..for a moment i felt like i was in the wrong school..it's just that all my life ive never been around so many chinese speaking pple. .like scgs was sooo not chinese.. and sa arts was like no chinese at all.. and now it's like being thrown into mini china.. pretty freaky at some point i would say.. haha.. i hope i dun offend anyone.. i really do not have anything against chinese.. i just dun get it..

thank god for angel, d, and mel.. i'd die without their company.. like who the hell am i gonna talk to?! we didnt know like 90% of the pple there.. and apparently they're from cs.. haha.. ooops! i thihnk we kinda pissed off darren and the rest quite a bit.. cuz like angel and all wee not really interested in playing.. i didnt really want too cuz i was sick...if not i would have played.. now i feel bad..cuz i was feeling all horrible and tired and also trying not to die.. complicated.. but ya.. sorry!

i really would have played if i was feeling better.. honest! but i bet like half the pple there thought we were like some spoilt brats or some sort. esp the year 2's or god kinows who they are.. gave us like such horrible dirty looks... i totally hate it when pple do that..like they judge you just cuz u seem a certain way.. it just irks me.. anyway.. so what if we're spoilt and refuse to do anything?!

so many things to do! im out of time..

work at ben&jerry's really fun.. it's exhausting..but the occassioanl suprises of wonderful pple coming down really perks me up.. to all who came down..i wanna say a BIG THANKS! really nice of u guys.. do come down more! more More MORE! haha..

i had 2 suprises on sunday! ben and muingee came down to see me! so so so so happy! thaniks for cominG! haha. i miss u girl.. then shaun came with jessman! haha.. was a pleasant suprise too.. we were gonna go hang around town after work with the rest..

weather tt day was really nice.. after the rain and all.. sunday's weather's getting better and better! so we walked down to paragon.. and the brilliant idea struck jessman at marks & spencer.. happily opened a jar of pasta sauce and smell it...noe those that youre NOT suppose to open with the safety seal?! haha.yea..then they were like.. "why dont we go to shaun's place to cook?!" so ya..i was really kidding when i i said i could cook.. but we ended up cooking anyway.. haha,.. and im suprised the guys helped pretty much too! i hope the food didnt suck though..tried making potato gratin for the first time.. sorta.. and it worked! was YUMMY! haha..so so i thought.. but was fun..all the chaos in the kitchen and stuff..

then today.. the scoopies went to SENTOSA! it rocked! the sun was GORGEOUS! and so was everything else! but now im down with a fever.. too hot and tired.. and im aching all over.. pain pian!! cuz worked the night shift after tt with pam.. the pictures were really nice! i liked it!.. will be up after camp..

BUT!!!!! the this freakin pain in the ass really got on my nerves! argh.. so wanted to get even.. an if i get even he'll die la.. probably make him cry! and apparently he's some trainie manager to be or some crap tt i dun like! boss us around like who the hell he think he is?! like hellooo.. it's only our 2nd time working.. u dun have to be on our backs like every single minute! argh! totally killed the happy atmosphere! im not saying it's bad working there..trust me EVERYONE else rocks.. the boss, the manager, EVERYONE! really.. awsomely nice pple.. except this jerk! say pur scoop too big, cannot use this cloth, cannot do tt, must do this... who the hell does he think he is?! boss us around like nobody's business.. im sorry im not the person who will take your crap. what a rudeass.. and a dumb ass too! stand there like he's the boss not doing anything when we are so freakin busy.. argh! im pissed.. need to get it out.. im seriously not exaggerating anything here.. i hope i never EVER see him agin..

juggled..

i must say im pretty amazed at how much i am doing right now. i am never good with time.. planning, being on time and everything else. but now it's like all of a sudden i am the working with seventeen as a temp fashion writer, a scoopy at ben&jerry's, and giving tuition. im still shock how i did it. but whoohoo! haha.. it's crazy.. but im not even close to tired..im really pleased with myself.. to be able to juggle 3 jobs and still go to church, spend time with my family, go out and have fun and oh ya.. haha..be in foc...see foc com pple..i didnt forget tt ure all gonna freak the hell out of me this coming tuesday OK! anyway.. i thik i really understand why people become workaholics.. i wont be suprised if i become one.. cuz it's fun.. seriously.. i love all my jobs! i know it sounds faks and untrue but seriously if u do what u really love u'll really enjoy it. and all the other time is just a miracle from god! haha..

i could do this for some time. and i got offered like a permernant position in the mag like twice alreday.. argh..freakin education crap's irritating. necessary evil! but i dun have a choice.. hopefullythe opportunity will come again.. i wonder if i'll burn out.. hmm.. guess not..

and tt reminds me.. freakin camp's in a week! argh.. help.. freakin out again!

i think im a worry wot! if i ever die or break down and stop functioning.. it'll be because i worry too much..about everything! i just can't help it! haha..it's madness..
so more things to worry about.. my photo shoot on thursday! waaa.. i still need more outfits! more quirky clothes! the model's gorgeous in photos! but she still needs to wear something! waaa.. hmm.. maybe i should try the bare bodied just accessories look.. interesting..mind u it's nothing close to maxim or fhm! oh well.. still need clothes!

time really flies when ure happy and having fun..

1st day at work!
didnt know it would be like occupied 90% of the time. but it was fun..it really didnt felt like 7hrs at all.. amazing. like batches of pple kept coming.. it was like scoop, scoop, clean, more scooping, make waffles, more scooping, haha.. before u know it it's the end. and pple were still coming when we're about to close. it was really fun all the way.. maybe cuz we were kinda nervous and muddle headed at what to do..

oh.. and i was so happy when i saw pple i knew coming down for ice cream! BEEEG thanks to my cell mates! haha.. thanks guys.. really sweet of u! hope u guys had fun.. and darren! haha.. i was pretty shocked tt u came alone.. thought u'd bring your pack.. haha..but thanks too! u guys all made my day!

close to perfect..

happy happy happy! not sugar high happy.. really turly happy.. man..i do sound like im high on weed or something.. but yea.. today's one of the best sundays ive had.. just peaceful and nice..yet fun too..

was suppose to meet angel in town for shopping.. then ben sms so we met ben, shaun and j-en to check out some flea market at china square.. shaun's friends came along too.. the guy was really funny.. the flea market was well.. ok.. quite an eye opener cuz i was so facinated with all the vintage stuff..

we had tea at some place near by..the ice tea(teh-bing) was really good! have to try.. then we waked to like fullerton i think.. was really nice cuz the weather today was just great! bit cloudy and windy.. everything somehow looked pretty in today's weather.. haha.. it didnt feel quite like singapore actually. cuz china square and the whole raffles area was so quiet and peaceful.. it's like perfect chill-out day..

then i met the sc girls for dinner.. it was really funny cuz we were all dressed up cuz we thought we were gonna go have a nice dinner at some restaurant..but somehow we ended up at the wanton mee place at sunshine plaza.. it was really cheap.. and good food too! just like in sc! haha.. it's just sharing and catching up on how everyone is.. then shu hui mentioned bout mrs cha..our really weird teacher who's hunched and all of us suddenly sat up right straight! haha. hilarious moment! i remember back in sc mrs quek always said there's something different about scgs girls.. and that they'll always stick together, also somehow the friendships made always lasted.. i never thought it would be true.. cuz somehow it just seems way to idealistic..but now..yes.. it is true.. been through almost everything with these girls.. and like even though we hardly meet up it's like we've never been apart when we do meet.. some pple say sc girls are arrogant.. but tt's just them being superficial..

more great news came during supper with ben and shaun at chomp chomp's! i got an sms from edmund, the happy manager! and i'll be starting work tmr! yay! together with pamela and joy! really happy happy happy! pls do come visit me!

all the good things today!

1st up.. i'll be working at ben and jerry's!!! went for my training today and learnt how to make waffles and scoop ice cream.. it's not as easy as u think.. cuz each scoop has to be like 30z or something.. yep.. but it was fun! haha.. it makes you happy seeing other pple happy! but there's like a test tmr.. cant believe it la.. b&J test! goodness.. im gonna die..

then it was off to the galla premiere of Da Vinci Code.. which was.. good.. pretty freaky at some parts.. cuz i hate statues that look at u.. eeee.. but it was exciting..cool show.. should catch it..it would be worth the $7 or so if i had to pay... i didnt expect tonight's premiere to be in such great demand! saw quite alot of famous pple and celebs.. it was funny cuz in the theatre quite alot of pple came in late and those tt were seated at the front rows tried to change their seats and move to the back and got shoo-ed back when the latecomers arrived! hahaha..silly cows!

met the sa pple for dinner again..it's starting to become a weekly thing..which is good i must say.. dinner was at a really beautiful place called giraffe..just opposite the istana and ps. great ambience.. food's not too bad too.. it was well a nice dinner.. just simplly nice. no more, no less..

we visited belly's work place..the ben&jerry's at picture house again.. think we're like friends with the owner now.. really crazy guy who happens to be nic's fencing buddy..it's a really nice chill out place with a live band and all.. pretty pretty..

saw so many things..interesting things, weird things, pretty things.. damn i need a new camera soon..

it's pretty weird coming home so early on a saturday..got home like plus.. hmm.. just dont feel like uve spent the night enough..but oh well.. didnt expect them to go home that early either..gotta go church tmr morning so yep..

i just realize ive got like a day to finish doing my diy stuff for the shoot on monday.. and since it's so last min i'll have to hike all the way to arab street or something alone tmr to get stuff.. i dun really know how to get there but i dun really have a choice.. i hope they sell beads or something there..and i hope i dun get lost.. yikes..

lazy friday..

it's like my first free holiday ever since exams ended and since i started work. finally one morning i wake up and actually have got nothing at all planned. felt kinda weird actually.like suddenly life's so aimless. i think im the type that will get addicted to work.. i already feel weird lazing around at home with nothing to do.

half way through yakking with ong deciding where to tmr when ben called for lunch.. so i decided to meet him since ive got nothing on anyway and we stay rather near.. it was funny cuz when i got to the bus stop there wasnt the bus that i was suppose to take! and ben said he was gonna take me to some foreign place for lunch so i couldnt tell the cab uncle where to go.. but we ended up at thomson which was not that foreign to me..

lunch was at a damn funky chicken rice place.. it was like stepping back in time in that tiny place.. damn vintage.. complete with light blue tiled walls, plastic booth seats and wooden ko-pi-tiam chairs and round tables! there was even those cashier booth in the front of the shop where the boss sits and collect money! it was totally the olden type of eating place.. i love it! ok..so i've got a thing for vintage things and places.. but it's pretty cool to see these preserved, untouch heritage in the midst of all the new, modern restaurants and stuff..it's like taking u into a whole new time portal..it's a nice change..

when we were leaving that place..i couldnt help but notice this family and a really old grandpa coming in to eat.. and tt old grandpa was having so much difficulty getting around that pple had to help him sit and stuff..like the maid had to move his legs cuz he couldnt do it himself.. it felt to painful to see pple like tt..i would rather not be living if i have to be like tt.. can u imagine how awful it would feel if u were the one?! ok.. i know i have some sort of phobia towards old pple but im really not being mean here! im mean.. the guy probably knows tt he's requiring the help of so many pple just to get around.. i'd die of feeling horrible.. it was just a sad sight..see.. there ARE perks of not being old..

by that time it started to drizzle so we were like running around in the rain.. haha.. was silly trotting around the stretch and scuttling to shelter.. but it was a nice afternoon crapping and stuff.. haha.. i think ben found out more stuff tt he wanted to know about himself and stuff he should have known in sa.. heyhey.. we learn new things everyday so it's never too late?! hehe..more lunches or late night supper yea?! :)

just got off the phone with angel.. i miss u girl.. pls pls dont sleep so early and come online more! i havent seen u in ages la.. goodness.. now who's gonna have to let me live under your sink?! i'll live there and die an old maid alone.. sob sob..but ur call made my night!

work this week's been so so slack. sharon and i just wander around town.. getting bored with everything.. haha.. bad.. and there are 2 more major shoots to do.. how now brown cow?! least ive got sharon to keep my company and to laugh at every possible nonsense tt comes out.. i tell u..nonsense only comes out when we're together..haha.. like wooshy swooshy?! and the guy/manager at top man who replied, "oh don't worry, you can bother me all you want" when a customer said "im sorry to bother you." simply hilarious!

see.. little things puts the smile on our faces..

another piece of good news! got an invite to da vinci's launch for their latest collection, which includes a movie premiere of The Da Vinci Code! awesome! so sharon and i get to watch it in advance and for free! makes me happy!

and there's a hp event with free lunch at NUDE restaurant tmr! fun fun fun! haha.. i'm loving my job.. so many events!

restaurant hopping, non-stop eating
lunch at ikea was well...scrumptious! never seen so much food being ordered and finished before. as in really really a table spread full..the cs guys wiped them all clean in no time!... i never knew guys could eat THAT much. but was good food and great company..

then it was off to town to return the ginormous bag-full of clothes i loaned for the shoot at far east.. and i ended up buying a pair of red heels! i love it! there's just so many more things i wanna get..but im broke! and i fell in love with this vintage dress i saw at level1.. sigh.. it's crazily overpriced, but pretty..

i was late to meet the lenise, belly and the rest.. but the guys were even later! goodness..so it was off to nydc at heeren to meet the saints..more food and more great company. thanks belly for the pretty box! i love it! damn i dont have a camera now.. if not there would be pictures.. need to get one soon.. len and belly had dinner at nydc.. which the service really sucked. like we waited 30mins for our food and the reason they gave was because they only had one oven to bake the food..so get more ovens?!

we checked out the new picture house at the new cathay or shaw or whatever it is called.. pretty nice place and to all the girls delight there was ben & Jerry's! and everyone's eyes just lit up.. it's amazing how we get happy and excited over stuff like this. even better still the owner was there and he turned out to be nickie's buddy.. so we all had free ice cream despite the fact that the shop is not open yet.. the place was funky.. must say it's one of the nicest scoop shop ive seen.. there was a stage and set and all for bands to come and play. great stuff..

after tt it was like more food at dao huay place. we saw some rats at the drains next to us and they were like HUGE! like big fat rats.. and ben had to feed them dao huay.. goodness!

k-box or movie at picture house? we took like damn long to decide.. haha..but ended up with a night of crazy singing at party world.. was really madness.. mambo madness complete with actions and retro boogie! especially the YMCA song where the guys went crazy.. it's funny how music can take a life of its own and kinda make us get so lost in it. we didnt realize that we were all dancing on the couch doing the YMCA actions and all.. sheer insanity.. and the waiters thought we were either crazy or very very drunk when they walked passed.. haha.. great fun though.. i loved it!
the night.. well morning to be correct since we crooned and bellowed till like 5am, ended with macs breakfast! but we were all drained and i could barely keep my eyes open on the ride back..

it's really the life.. i could get use to..

tired.. as usual.. maybe im just trying to push myself beyond the point of exhuation.. and perhaps just collapse.. sounds interesting.. oh well..
my feet hurts like crap from heels today.. went to attend the Francesco Baisia launch.. it's was ok and all.. except for the fact that they had to make us stand around and wait for the show to start.. which btw lasted 5 mins.. haha.. hot male models though.. same as the levi's one.. but the levi's event was good..


im like exhausted in every possible way.. physically, mentally, emotionally whatever.. i wanna go away.. i told my daddy just now that we should like go on some holiday.. like go to bangkok for a week or so..just wanna get away from everything that's here..im just sick and tired of everything..

Events events..

havent been blogging the past week or so.. partly cuz work has started for me and that im shifting.. again..so now im more or less shifted.. finally..

FRI: Levi's event at MOS..
ok.. so i went to attend this event mainly to check out MOS.. yes..im slow.. havent been going to clubs so took the opportunity to.. the show was not bad.. started late though.. but the graphic tee they gave was nice! i liked it.. mos was well.. not too bad. big.. but overrated.. there's just too much talk about it.. and when ure really there it's like "oh, that's it" yep.. pretty toilets though..

SAT: bbq at shaun's
ok.. so i didnt know i was gonna go till like late on fri night when ben called.. um.. it's suprisingly my first bbq with the ntu pple, and also the first one with only sausages as like the only thing on the menu.. the guys happily bought like every different kind of sausages here was at carefour. pretty amazing i must say..and ive never seen anyone take the task of building the fire up so seriously.. haha..justin was like building his charcoal fort.. it's pretty amusing watching him do his thing.. everything was pretty fun..

SUN: The Graffiti Code
yep.. this started with the talk on the da vinci code at ben's church.. it was a pretty interesting talk i must say.. but it made me wanna read the book.. haha..yes.. so anyone who has it pls lend me.. then after which our little excursion started where we hiked from like little india to like everywhere!
think it was like ben's smart idea or something..to get off the train at little india and walk to biugis. then we ended up detouring to like dao huay place, the national library then reaching bugis.. after which we explored arab street in search of some exotic restaurant to have dinner.. which landed us in some weird whimsical restaurant at the corner of haji lane.. was good experience i must say.. and the traditional game of "i never" kinda revealed how dysfunctional we are.. haha.. was a crazy day of exploring with the sa peeps..

yep.. met the sa pple again for lunch at the thai place at coro.. good food.. and then chill at island creamery.. today's just such a lazy chill out day..
